Here’s a guide I followed to get the Windows Phone emulator working with VMware.
(I’m using VMware Fusion 6.0.4)
I didn’t follow the whole guide since I already had a Windows 8 VM set up. I just scrolled down and followed the steps of modifying the VMX file and making sure Hyper-V was activated in Windows.

Followed the instructions in the Fusion link and still getting the emulator error “Windows Phone Emulator is unable to verify that the viral machine is running” any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys. I also use VMWare and that info arrives at great time.
