Getting GPS location from photo in camera roll / album

Hi,

I’m about to start a new project in Corona SDK and have a question. Is it possible to extract the GPS Longitude and Latitude from a photo retrieved from the photo library / saved albums? As far as I am aware the device will store that information (at least the iPhone does) and it is possible to retrieve it using the native SDK - is it possible in Corona though?

“New” photos are fine as I can just use the current GPS location, it’s “old” photos that would have been taken elsewhere that I’m interested in.
