Glider And Symlinks

There’s probably a better way to do this, but I’ve been developing a library for use in all my projects and instead of having multiple copies floating around I’ve created a symlink on Windows in each project to just “point” to the file in a central location. When I run the project in the simulator through Glider, I receive an error informing me that the file could not be copied to the Glider data folder.

I’m using the new 1.8 beta.

A week and no reply from the developers. Good thing I didn’t pay for Glider, oh wait, I did. How stupid of me to think that I’d be actually getting support for a product that I’ve paid for.

They list a support email address on their web site: mydevelopergames@gmail.com

I doubt they consider this an “official” place for company support. (But I’m not them, I could be wrong.)

@Jay,

Thanks for your help!

@kodewulf,

Sorry you are having issues. If you are using Glider 1.8 beta you could just create an external library bundle and include it in all of your projects. We sent you a chat invite on your gmail account so we can get your issue solved faster. We try to check the forums as often as we can but we have been so busy recently with Glider that it has been difficult. Sorry about that.

@Jay

Thanks. Didn’t want to send an email after I posted here and cause confusion. Lol. Will start with the email next time.

@M.Y.developers

Would there be any documentation regarding the external library bundle feature I can take a look at? Sorry if I was sounding a bit demanding, just thought that the forums were one of your support channels. Now that I know, I’ll try the email first. Now stop talking to me and go finish 1.8… :smiley:

@Kodewulf,

Sure, there is a video explaining it:

You can skip to about 1:50 in the video

Thanks for the video. I’ll play around with it a bit and see if it’s what I’m looking for.
