Glider not working after OS X update to 10.9 !

I just updated my Mac’s OS to the new 10.9 version and now Glider isn’t starting. A new installation also is not working.

Does anybody have an idea what I can do to make it running?

Thank you!

Daniela

Any progress on that?

I was also thinking about updating to Mavericks after finishing my current project but I think we’ll have to wait for an update about the issue.

I had the same problem. Actually Java jdk is not packed with Mavericks, you need to reinstall it …

open terminal, type:  java -version

a popup should appear, click on ‘more info’, it will open the jdk download page.

lua glider now works for me

Thx for the info! Everything works now :slight_smile:

@bgmadclown,

Did you try reinstalling Java and does it work now?

@tech271,

Thanks for your help!

@d.mach,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for letting us know that it works.

I just installed the OS update and didn’t have any problem migrating actually. It seems to be working fine right now.

I upgraded to Mavericks over the weekend and downloaded (for the first time) v19.

I get this message upon trying to open the application:

“Lua Glider v19 can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.”

I’m a Corona Pro developer (does that have anything to do with it?

Some assistance would be appreciated.

Either post here or email: richard@wetbluepix.com

Thanks,

Richard

oh, I already did the java and still no go.  forgot to mention that…

ok, clicked the “?” on the popup.  had to hold down the Control button to eventually get it to open.

Any thoughts about this?

I had the same problem but I could choose another option with trying it again… open the app via right click and then choose “Open” and you should be able to take the right steps to open it. Double clicking the icon wasn’t working for me.

@richard,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Were you able to get Glider working?
