Glow or Color Effect

We have a project with a lot of animations using sprite sheets, but we need a special effect like glow or color transformation.
Replicate the assets with glow or color effect is not an option for us, because the amount of sprite sheets is too big.
We researched about the functionality of glow or color effect in Corona, but not results were found.
Can you help us to implement something like glow or color effect?
