Google Play - keystore advice and any other gotchas experience

Looking for experience and advice on posting apps to Google Play.

  • Is the debug keystore in Corona “safer” or less safe than a generated keystore?
  • are there any gotchas or FYIs a new developer should be aware of before uploading apps to Google Play?

Thanks. [import]uid: 40033 topic_id: 34944 reply_id: 334944[/import]

  1. Found this great link in the Android forum: http://developer.coronalabs.com/forum/2011/04/16/signing-android-applications-3-easy-steps

  2. Still interested in any Google Play experience that you wish you had known before you started selling thru Google Play.

FYI @Pixin I deleted your duplicate post.

Now you cannot use a Debug keystore on any of the Android marketplaces. They require you to have a production keystore.
