Google Play says: License keys are now managed for each application individually

I was just preparing store listings for Google Play and read this on the upload apk page:

New:"License keys are now managed for each application individually.

If your application uses licensing services (e.g. if your app is a paid
app, or if it uses in-app billing or APK expansion files), get your new
license key on the Services & APIs page."

Well I’m doing a normal app that costs money. Anything of the above I have to consider at all, or could I just upload the apk allready built with the simulator?

Before I’ve used the same licence key for all my apps (paid and free). Is this somehow a problem now or could I just continue as before?

I’ll try again. Anyone from Corona who can give me an answer please?

GOOGLE PLAY: "License keys are now managed for each application individually.

If your application uses licensing services (e.g. if your app is a paid app,"

So have anything changed about releasing a standard payed game? Can I still use my generated key and sign with the simulator (Using the standard ‘Build for Android’ menu option) or do I need to get some new key from google? Is there any problem using the same generated key for many payed apps?

I don’t use any extra stuff in the game.

Are you using Google Licensing service in your app?   Licenses and keystores are two very different things.  Unless you are specifically using Google Licensing then the above doesn’t apply to you

Aha…no I don’t use any licensing service. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

You do understand that the licensing service is to deter your app from being pirated though?  It’s something that shouldn’t be passed over lightly if you publish to Google.  It also takes less than 90 seconds to integrate.  Check it out:

Cheers.
