Hi,
I got an e-mail from the Google Play Apps Editorial Board, they want to promote my game “Freeze!”.
As nice as this is they did send me a list of things to change in my game to make it happen.
One of the issues is with the sign-in process for Google Play Games:
If the user taps Options, taps the Google Play Services Controller / Log In
button, the “Choose and account” dialog loads, and the user selects Cancel, the
“Choose an account” dialog loads again, and the user presses cancel, the
following redundant error message is displayed:
“Sign-in error
There
was an issue with sign-in”
* Notes: There is no need to
display a sign-in error to the user if the user cancels out of sign-in. Also,
the “Choose an account” dialog shouldn’t load a second time if the user has
decided to cancel sign-in.
I tested this with “Freeze!” and again with the sample project:
https://github.com/coronalabs/plugins-sample-gameNetwork-google
So now I can confirm that this really happens, if you have
* at least two different google+ accounts on your device and you
* start to sign in into Google Play Games a list of your multiple accounts is presented
if you then
* cancel the sign-in (using quit-button in the alert or the back-button)
the sign-in dialogue appears again. If you now
* cancel the sign-in again
an alert is shown (I think it is generated by the Corona plugin):

Google doesn’t like that the sign-in is shown a second time, and doesn’t want the sign-in error because it is no error - the user decided to quit the sign-in process.
Would be great if you could help with this (as you already did with the demanded xxhdpi-icons), it’s the last open issue on the list from Google.
Thanks & best,
Andreas
