It’s official: I am currently deep in development of a rewrite of my original game, Archangel: Fate of the Galactic Commonwealth.
Originally released in 2009 for the iPhone using iTorque 2D, this version is being developed using Corona SDK and will feature a slew of new features which I’ll keep under wraps for now. However, I would like to add that I’m planning support for many different languages, so I’m reaching out to the community and or its family and friends for those who are are equally interested, passionate, and capable:
Do you think you have a good voice? Have you always wanted to act in some sort of production?
To get an idea of what I’m looking for, watch and listen to the first release of Archangel: FGC here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__k7X2X6Fyk
I am looking for as many voice actors of different nationalities to perform a bunch of various phrases in different languages.
Like officers on the bridge of a starship, I am seeking a to fill roles of ship navigator, tactical officer, communications officer, first officer, ship’s engineer, ship’s chief physician, ship’s computer, as well as a commander or admiral, and captains of friendly and enemy ships alike.
To hit as many markets as possible, I’d like to go all out here and will specifically be seeking phrases in languages, including but not limited to English (American/British/Canadian/Australian), Spanish (Latin American), Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Thai, Tagalog, Korean, Russian, Hindi / Bengali, Swedish, Dutch, Turkish, Danish, and a few others I can’t pull off the top of my head. I probably won’t have more than a couple of most popular languages built-in to the release in order to fit it under the iTunes cellular download limit, but Corona gives us the option to have it download after the fact, or even add it as an in-app purchase.
Because of the very limited budget and allocation towards other resources, your compensation will be my unending gratitude and your name (and photo or avatar, if provided) displayed in all its glory in the credits of my game. If you download the original Archangel FGC (http://itunes.apple.com/app/archangel-fate-galactic-commonwealth/id320235635?mt=8), you’ll see an example of how the names and faces of the original voice actors were displayed.
Doing this part of the game was incredibly entertaining and satisfying. Here was a picture of me and actor Michael Wehrhahn (http://www.michaelwehrhahn.com) as the ship’s engineer during the production of Archangel: FGC in 2009:

Again, if you don’t think you can do it, but know someone who could, please pass this along! Thanks for reading and reply back here or contact me directly at iphone -AT- beyondthetech *dot* com. [import]uid: 6084 topic_id: 28128 reply_id: 328128[/import]
