Got My First App On Amazon, Is Google Just As Easy ?

Got my first app on Amazon the other day and found it very easy. Uploaded on Friday and approved and live by Monday evening.

I now want to pay the $25 and do the same with Google Play store and just wanted to check before I pay if it is just as easy ?

Also I presume I can use the same APK file that I signed myself ?

Cheers,

Dave

It’s actually easier, you should build an apk file for the google store and upload, there is no approval process so it will be available almost straight away.

That explains all the crap on the Google Play store then!

Don’t think am gonna waste the $25 to be honest, not had 1 sale on Amazon. Even on iOS I had 80 sales on my first day.

Hi Dave, I am thinking about doing the same on releasing my Space Command game on Amazon. It looks like it is free at the moment (they seems to not charge the $99 for now) I am very interested in your experience. Do you use ads or is it a paid app? In any libraries gave you issues when going from iOS to Amazon? Screen size issues? Really anything that you remember gave issues will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot Mo

I would still do it if I were you.  $25 isn’t a lot of money, and it’s only a one time fee.  Plus, I first published apps to Google, then some time later to Amazon.  Currently Amazon sales are no where close to Google sales.  You’ve already done 99% of the work, might as well go all the way.

It seem to work fine on all of them, so submitted it. Dave

Thanks for the link! I am slowly learning about android / amazon and it will fun to access those market too since I can now with the new pro! I appreciate the help. Mo
