Got Time To Test - RGPE2?

@everyone,

Hi.  I released a free Particle Editor tool some time ago (months) to the community.  I’ve tested it on my own machine with no issues, but I recently heard from a peer that it is not working for him.

Clearly the tool needs more testing.

So, it is my hope that if you are reading this, you can spare about 10 minutes to do the following.

  1. Download the tool here: https://github.com/roaminggamer/RG_FreeStuff/raw/master/SSK2/tools/rgpe2.zip

  2. Follow the directions in the guide, starting at this link: https://roaminggamer.github.io/RGDocs/pages/RGPE2/#before-you-start

(You can skip the SSK2 install because the download includes it).

  1. When you are done, please post here with these details:

A. Version of Corona you’re using.

B. OS you’re running (OS X or Windows) and version of the OS.

C. Did everything work?

D. If it didn’t work, what went wrong.  Describe as best you can.

E. If it didn’t work.  Please open the tool and then go to the sandbox -> documents directory.  Are these three files there?

  • defaultNewEmitter.json
  • emitterLib.json
  • emitterLib.rg

Thanks to everyone who spends the time to try this.  Again, it should take about 10 minutes.

I’ll see if I have time to play with it tonight when I get home. Is there any particular issue you’d like us to look out for?

Thanks.  As long as you can get through the steps in the guide w/o issue I’m happy.

A. Version of Corona you’re using.

Version 2017.3162 (2017.10.28)

 

B. OS you’re running (OS X or Windows) and version of the OS.

Mac HS 10.13.2

 

C. Did everything work?

Yes, once I sized the window correctly.

 

D. If it didn’t work, what went wrong.  Describe as best you can.

N/A

 

E. If it didn’t work.  Please open the tool and then go to the sandbox -> documents directory.  Are these three files there?

  • N/A

​Didn’t have any issues once I sized correctly (Menus wouldn’t work before hand).

Followed the guide (mostly), moved, edited, deleted all kinds. 

Let me know if you need any further assistance.
