Graphic 2.0, .....As a newbie, what do I have to know ?

I have been reading and researching so much on Graphic 2.0 from Documentation, to tutorial, etc. By the end of the day, I have so much information in my brain that I am not even sure if it applies to me as a newbie.

So what do we (as newbies) really have to be aware about of Graphic 2.0???

Thank you.

Hi @enzo93718,

I would begin with the migration guide here:

http://docs.coronalabs.com/daily/guide/graphics/migration.html

Then, progress to the tutorials at Corona University (those tagged with “Graphics 2.0” in the title):

http://coronalabs.com/resources/tutorials/images-audio-video-animation/

Hope this helps,

Brent

Thank you Brent. As a matter of fact, I have read and watched them all.

I just wanted to know exactly what’s the few things I HAVE to know without going into more detail.

If you are just starting to use corona, then you don’t have to pay too much attention to it.

By that i mean you just follow the api documentation and have at it.

People who used corona before graphics 2.0 came out needed to make some changes to their code to get their objects positioned correctly etc

Hope this helps.

I think the one thing you need to watch out for, is a lot of the demos and sample tutorials on corona site and elsewhere on the internet are based on the Graphics 1.0.  Although many are still very helpful,  some of that code (mostly dealing with graphics and positioning) will not work in graphics 2.0, that is something you need to be aware of.

Good luck.

Thank you for the advice Gremlin and Cyber. I really appreciate it.
