Guys, do you know any software to decrease/increase your sound files?

i have recently collecting free audio files for sound effect and music in my game but i noticed their “standard volume” are different one to another. So let’s say when the player gets hit by a bomb there’s this “loud” sound effect but when he collects star the sound effect for that is simply too low.

I am using audacity for Mac to crop audio files but i wonder how can I “normalize” all these audio files? [import]uid: 114765 topic_id: 22688 reply_id: 322688[/import]

You can normalize in Audacity. Go to Effects -> Normalize
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Normalize

You might want to remove the low frequencies as well since the speakers on the phones and tablets can’t reproduce them anyway. That will give you more headroom to make some sounds louder (like your explosion).

Hi there, i dont see any effect using normalize. Sure the sound is “bigger” when i play it in audacity but after i re-export the audio file the sound volume is pretty much the same. [import]uid: 114765 topic_id: 22688 reply_id: 90489[/import]
