Hello dweezil,
Sorry about that. Could you send us an email (mydevelopergames@gmail.com) and we can give you a trial extension.

Looking forward to trying this MY Developers, my wife had our baby yesterday so I’m a bit behind with things now
Hello Supertapp,
Congratulations on the arrival of your newest family member! Please let us know how everything works when you get a chance to try out the updates.

Thanks!
Sorry to inform you though the latest build is no different, as soon as I open a lua file Glider will not reload if I quit and re-enter.
I think I am having the same problem.
I’m on Wn7-64.
New user. Not a positive first time experience.
It opened the first time after a fresh install.
But any subsequent open seems to fail (Though not always at the same point in the startup sequence I think)
I have once got as far as the license screen. Clicked on ‘Trial’ and kaboom. Nothing.
Happy to help resolve this if there is anything I can answer, but must go to bed just now… 4.30am for me…
Hello Everyone,
Yes there was indeed a problem with the trial version. We never use a trial version of Glider so this error snuck past us! We will get this fixed today.
If anybody has had this problem and wants a trial extension please email us and we will get you one. Our email is:

Update: The fixed version has been uploaded. Please let us know that the problem is resolved.

Congrats guys I think you’ve fixed it. I’ll use it through the day and see if anything strange happens.
Although it’s pushing the processor pretty hard…
Hello Supertapp,
great! We are thinking about various ways to improve the scanning performance while maintaining the level of detail of the autocomplete. Now that we have a system in place to extract symbols from runtime it will allow us to do less speculation in the editor and just observe the contents of tables during runtime. This will greatly improve performance, memory usage, and stability.

Yep, it’s working for me now, thanks guys.
Nice quick turn-around.
Now to crack on with my first project…
I’m liking how ‘lean’ LUA is as language! (… Must be the old C programmer in me coming out …)
Hello Peter,
Great! Let us know if you run into any other problems.

Hello Supertapp,
it seems that the modules were not all getting updated. We released a patch updating all the modules to make sure everything is in sync. You can get glider up and running again by deleting the dev folder. Please navigate to this folder:
http://view.xscreenshot.com/8168fc8cd81d89816ad9894385890277
and delete everything except the config folder.
Next Glider should be able to start up, after that please get the update. One of the things fixed in the update is the exact issue that you are having.
Sorry about the inconvenience.

M.Y. Developers
Thanks for a quick response however I tried deleting all of the folders except contig and it still wont boot fully, during boot it creates a var folder but then just sits there nothing happens.
I will have to re-install it and run with the older version but be careful when updating my tables for now.
Please let me know if there is another way to fix it?
Hello Supertapp,
Reinstall should fix it. Please do get the update when you re-install. It won’t break Glider this time and it will fix the table bug.

OK so I just dragged the glider package into applications again and copied over the top of it but when I run the update it still wont boot after this? Everything OK until the update is run.
Do I need to do a complete uninstall and re install?
Hello Supertapp,
We just tried downloading it from our site http://www.mydevelopersgames.com/Glider/ and removing the old app and installing the newly downloaded one. After doing the update it seems to work fine. Are you running lion or mountain lion?
Do I need to do a complete uninstall and re install?
I think replacing the app package with the one from the dmg image is equivalent to this right?

M.Y. Developers
Hmm strange, like I said I just copied over the top of mine maybe I need to remove it first? I’m using Lion.
I completely removed it this time and re installed and the update has gone in properly! Thanks for your support on this one MY Developers :)
Oh dear I spoke to soon, just quit and rebooted and it is stuck again. :(
