I am tying to post an iphone version of an existing ipad game. The first time around I had used the com.company.game nomenclature and it worked fine. This time around, I keep getting a message that says that my new app is being built with the same bundle ID as the old app. The problem is that I have already reserved the com.company.newapp bundle ID on itunes connect. Where exactly is the text added that determines what bundle ID is used. I had previously just assumed it was the name field when building. As a side note, I have change the name of the folder, the name field and the new app has its own Open Feint information. [import]uid: 8702 topic_id: 4055 reply_id: 304055[/import]
You need to log into the iOS Provisioning portal and create a new App ID which will give you a brand new bundle identifier. Then, you need to create a new provisioning certificate with that new bundle id (distribution tab). [import]uid: 7849 topic_id: 4055 reply_id: 12569[/import]
Thank you for the help. I am really excited about getting this new version on the market after all of the work that I have put into adjusting the gameplay and UI for smaller devices. I also have been wanting to thank you for the multi-tasking fix that I got from your off-topic post. Promo codes will be available as soon as the game is released and it would be great if you checked it out. [import]uid: 8702 topic_id: 4055 reply_id: 12691[/import]
