Hi all,
I’ve been playing around with Corona for about 3 weeks now and I gotta say I’m pretty hooked.
I actually already know a bit about the mobile apps world, as my job is a project manager in a mobile development company who does mostly corporate business type apps. But I’ve gotten quite a lot of experience about designing and making apps, and in that time I’ve also got a couple of ideas of mine for apps that could be interesting.
Anyway, I’ve found corona while researching the success of Flappy Bird and how simple it is to write such similar game in Corona… at that point I got more interested, looked over the tutorial videos, and I knew I can get into this.
My programming background was long lost (a couple of java programs back in 2004), but getting into Lua scripting for Corona was easy as a breeze.
I’ve published my first game - a very simple one, honestly I thought of it more as a programming excercise (and the code is written horribly) than something serious. But it helped me learn quickly about corona and also about publishing apps myself.
If anyone wanna take a look, here is my Brain Color

anyway, best of luck to all you fellow enthusiast and keep up the good work! I myself got about 8 ideas in the pipeline, so a lot of work to do - games and business type apps too. just ran into a bit of a problem with location, but maybe i’ll find some other way to do it. i don’t give up easy
