With AdMob, AdColony, Chartboost, Unity Ads, etc. costing an annual fee of $199, what is the best free alternative?
There is no best. Choose one, determine if you like it and determine if you make money with it.
There is no substitute for just doing it.
There are so many factors that nobody can simply say, “Oh, XYZ, that is the best.”
PS - If, by best you simply meant ‘easiest to use’, then I’d go with Appodeal or Applovin both are very easy to use.
Otherwise, you should clearly define what best is, but before you do that, tell people what kind of game you’re making, what kinds of ads you need to show, …
I agree with roaminggamer. There are several factors that play a part in this matter and there is no single best option.
You should first consider what type of ads you want to serve via your app. Are they rewarded video ads or are you just hoping to show some banner on the top of the screen, etc. Do your app planning, then research the ad providers and find the ones that suit your needs and just pick one to try out.
or first release a game that actually gain some populatiry before you consider monetizing using ads.
you need quite a few players for it to matter, unless you enjoy counting cents.
