I am evaluating Corona for an “interactive storybook project”. My doubt is not related to Corona itself, it is more about game genres. As I said, the fist classification for my app was an interactive storybook for children. But now I do not know if it is an Adventure Game, Point And Click to be precise. The app is very simple: there will be around 15 pages where the player, children, can control a character touching the screen of an Android or iOS device. The player can interact with objects, a voice will give the player tips like “find more objects or ask to another character” The main goal is to collect objects. To pass to another scene the player has to complete all tasks (very simple because the app is for children between 4 and 6)
So, an interactive storyboard is an Adventure Game, or my app is just an interactive storyboard? I have seen also another terms like interactive book and ebook.
