Hi I am Aaron - RPG Attempt

Hi All.

Newbie to Corona and Lua here.

I am working on a 1 year personal project of getting an rpg made using Corona. You can follow my exploits here.

I hope to help out in the community as I adventure down this path. So I apologize in advance for my endless questions

Hey GL Aaron. I have had pretty good success with Corona and RPGs. Lua makes keeping track of RPG game data a breeze with tables.

best of luck!

I am finding that lua tables are awesome for game data :)

Hey GL Aaron! Congratulation on setting a goal for yourself. Where are you in the process? I saw a progress meter on your website, but wasn’t sure if that reflected the current status or not.

When you get a chance, check out LavaLevel’s QuestLord rpg game. It’s a lot of fun and he’s had great success at building a community around the game’s storyline. He shared a lot of great advice on app development and marketing at the Dallas Corona SDK Meetup. It’s good stuff.

Hi Charles.
The progress meter is a crude countdown of how long until the year is up.

I try to keep devblogs each week on my site with what or what not I have managed to achieve. I will be doing a vlog soon on my progress and will share here when I have managed to upload it.

I will defiantly jump over now and take a look at QuestLord and thank you for the youtube link.

Hope to share something playable in the new year.
