Hiding the cursor?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if there’s a way to hide the cursor. Our game is fully controllable with a 360 controller and the mouse just gets in the way :smiley:

Thanks,

+1 to this! I was actually going to open this topic as well. In particular, I’d like to hide/replace the cursor with a custom cursor. Is this possible or in the works?

Thanks!

Any word on being able to hide the cursor? Is this something on the roadmap? Thanks! - David

Just for clarity’s sake, are you looking for the mouse cursor to be hidden whenever it MOVES over the application window (without window focus), or cursor modification when the application window DOES take focus?

@all,

I’ve posted a feature request here:

http://feedback.coronalabs.com/forums/188732-corona-sdk-feature-requests-feedback/suggestions/11294433-optionally-hide-os-cursor-in-desktop-builds

Please vote on it if you want to add this feature.

Note: I specifically excluded the ability to ‘change the cursor’ because, assuming we can hide the cursor, you can then make an in-game cursor of your own.  Thus, asking to be able to hide and change the cursor would be excessive and redundant.

Actually for any non-game app, being able to use the standard cursors would make sense.

Please remember, we don’t track +1’s in the forums. Thank you @roaminggamer for creating the entry. Now you can vote it up on the feedback site!

@roaminggamer: Thanks for making the feature request! I just gave it three votes.

Wouldn’t that depend on how they “hid” the cursor? If they did something like pin it to screenRight+1, screenBottom+1 that would hide the cursor, but wouldn’t allow you to use the mouse, so no making a custom cursor.
