Highest eCPM Ad Networks?

To be honest I probably didn’t leave the video ads up long enough to get a good idea of what the real eCPM was. I know that I was making less revenue/day with Vungle. Even if eCPM were higher I was still showing only 30% the amount of impressions as full screen ads (can’t show as many video ads as full screen ads because that would be annoying) so its eCPM had to be greater than 3x the full screen ad eCPM just to break even on revenue. My thought was that if Vungle eCPM was that low to begin with, I doubt it would have become 3x the full screen ad eCPM so I just decided not to use it.

Depending on where you place it in your game though it may have better results than what I got.

sometimes eCPM is low due to low click through rate and it depend a lot on how/where the app shows the ads.

Have you tried to calculate CPC for these ad providers?

I have about a 17% CTR on Revmob. It’s actually lower for other ad networks like playhaven (~5%).

If you can get 17% CTR (very high!) on Revmob, it means 170 clicks per 1000 views.

And if you get $3 eCPM, does it mean the CPC is probably 3/170 = $0.017 ?

If it is the case, I think adMob CPC is higher. Have you tried adMob and how’d it go?

I haven’t tried adMob for over a year. When I did try them I didn’t get very good results, but things may have changed since then. What kind of CPC do they get? My eCPM for RevMob is actually only $1.3 so my CPC is lower than that.

I am seeing 0.04-0.06 CPC for my adMob and my users are not even US-based.

But my CTR is very low, only 0.3%.

What kind of results did you get when you tried adMob?

I heard some people said adMob is the best after they tried different providers.

That’s interesting. My only concern would be the CTR. If I had 100,000 impressions with $1.3 eCPM I could make $130. With adMob 100,000 impressions would only get 300 clicks (0.3% CTR) and make about $15 with 0.05 CPC. Even though CPC is better with adMob the lower CTR would hurt overall revenue.

Is there anyone else that could chime in with their results from adMob and whether the CPC model is better than eCPM for revenue?

But I am thinking CTR is more related to the app itself (the app content & how/where to place the ads), not greatly related to the ad provider. The only thing I can think of to relate CTR with an ad provider is the ad content.

If you can get high CTR with RevMob in your app, I am assuming you should also get high CTR with adMob.

I am not sure. It’s also something I want to figure out.

That’s true. I’ll probably try to integrate adMob and give it a shot. I’ll let you know how it goes.
