How can I create a server that holds info accessible by anyone with my app?

I have an app concept where a number can be manipulated by any user. This would require a server where the data could be stored then displayed on each device by accessing the server. I have Googled a lot on this subject and can’t find anything with correlated with this SDK so I was wondering where I could get started. Any help is appreciated.
