Hey guy how can I test on my device with the free version of corona sdk [import]uid: 168985 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 336273[/import]

That’s to build for iOS.
To build for android you just
File -> Build For -> Android
it will give you an .apk file. You just copy that over to your phone and run it I think [import]uid: 77199 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 144092[/import]

But the thing is that the simulator keep saying that I need a subscription in order to make device builds. [import]uid: 168985 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 144102[/import]
You should still be able to make a debug build for a device, even if you are a free user. [import]uid: 208811 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 144111[/import]
See I don’t get I tried to build a test project and one of the samples but it keeps saying I need a subscription. [import]uid: 168985 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 144112[/import]
I was building apk’s with the free version up until a couple of weeks ago, never had a problem. I think the message you are seeing is the suggestion to subscribe, just press continue and it should let you build. Free version users have to wait a bit longer for the build, but you should definitely be able to do it. What build of Corona are you using? I was using build 971 [import]uid: 208811 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 144114[/import]
Well I do have build 971, but I still cannot build for Android when the message appears stating “Buy it Now” then I click continue, and then the Simulator closes. wait does it matter how long the trial was used? [import]uid: 168985 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 144116[/import]
I don’t know why it won’t build. I think the trial version is unlimited, unless they have changed this. You really want a Corona staff member answering these questions for you. [import]uid: 208811 topic_id: 36273 reply_id: 144118[/import]
Hi @taylorringo,
The Simulator should let you build without these issues. Can you give me more specifics about the system you’re using? Computer, OS (and version), etc. You should try to de-authorize the account and then re-authorize it (that’s under the Preferences of the Simulator). Please try these things and let me know what happens.
Thanks,

I have the latest build 2012.971, and I tried authorizing the simulator but nothing. I really don’t understand why that ie happening. I have a 32-bit Windows 8

Did you by chance install a Java 7 Runtime, or NOT install a Java 6 Runtime? Corona requires a JDK6 Runtime to build for Android devices using Windows, as explained in the guide I referenced.
