How can i zoom out?

Ok so i have a big 2000x2000 map and the problem here is that i want to zoom out to see where to place things and all. 

I tried obj:scale() and xScale and yScale.

All my displaying objects are in a group and i set the group x and y to 0.

Groups can be scaled, so it might be something in your code. Can you please post it?
