Few good tutorials in the documentation section. Read this one and follow it to the letter. Thats what I did and my app is now on the AppStore : http://developer.coronalabs.com/forum/2011/03/13/build-app-store

By the way, also read the icon related guides and Validation for App Store tutorial. You need to include various resolution icons etc for your app to be approved. When you build for device Corona will tell you if anything is missing anyways but doesn’t hurt reading up on it.

Good luck.

Hi Rob, Brent and everyone else.

I’m speaking right now with an agent on apple developers support center…

They say that I’m working with a “third party contractor” And they said that “never heard of Corona SDK” 3 people told me that.

They say that they support apple, Xcode, and Application Loader - Not the third party. They keep calling you “third party”

So now what?

– I have iTunes Connect ready

– I click “add NewApp”

– filled all the application there

– “status” prepare for upload

– I downloaded “Application Loader” I don see the icon anywhere

– I called them, and they say to call the “third party”

Please help

Did you read this? http://developer.coronalabs.com/forum/2011/03/13/build-app-store

I’d also suggest reading this: http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/iOSBuild/index.html.

I read both of them, still confuse.

I call Apple (two more people that never heard of corona)

I went to have the name of my app in Application loader

– click on Deliver your App

– I saw the name of my app there

– I chose the file

– send

ERROR -

The application warapper must end in .app. /var/folders/kh/ppgr5lb92w3d_zgg9slp5wdw0000gn/T/Piano For Kids.app.zip/ piano for kids is invalid.

Someone on app developers took me to

https://devforums.apple.com/message/793314#793314

They have the same question, no answer.

in apple a supervisor told me, it’s not iTunes problem , it’s the third party

I just don’t know what to do.

If somebody can help me on this please

Victor

  1. Clean up your certificates / keys / provisioning profiles.

Open Key Chain and find your old “dist” and “dev” certificates and
remove them (We’re making new ones.) The certs in Key Chain are named
“iPhone Distribution: Your Name” and iPhone Developer: Your Name"

Key Chain > (Side Bar: Category) > Certificates (or “my certificates”)

You can also click in “Keys”
Key Chain > (Side Bar: Category) > Keys
…and remove the keys that just say Your Name. I think these get created

I ended up doing this, like, 8 times. So I got pretty good at it. You will too.

–Where do I find key Chain?

–In Xcode?

–In Safari?

–In Application Loader?

--------------- I found it ------- Leave it here for some one else if they need it ------

on the Mac computer

go to the “go” menu

and under “Utilities” you’ll see “Keychain Acces” – It’s there.

I found keychain, I have 3 certificates

1.- Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority

2.- iPhone Developer: Victor M. Barba (26KH--------)

3.- iPhone Distribution: Cindy Barba (WG4---------)

and 4 keys

1.- Easy Music School - Public key, RCA, 2048-bit

2.- Easy Music School - Public key, RCA, 2048-bit

3.- Victor M Barba iOS Developer

4.- Victor Barba iOS Developer

I’m afraid to delete all of these, are you sure?

I guess this is as far as I got. At least I did finish the app, I have in  my hands right now, it’s nice

it’s a shame nobody else can see it.

I did as much as I could. I learned how to place images, transition.to, makes buttons, play sound, even the event.target, I made the icons, I paid $106.00 to apple, I got all the certificates, and provisionings, and profiles, I got to i tunes connect, my app is ready to upload an…

that’s it, the end of the road for me…

Victor,

I’d say thats a lot of learning for $106 invested so far.  :) If giving up is so easy then you really should not try to go any further anyways.

Just to let you know, if you read that link I gave you earlier on this topic, you will see many experienced developers have stated that they spent countless hours trying to go through their first App Store upload. I was lucky and got it all done in about 6 or 7 hours of work.

There is a lot involved and a lot can go wrong. You have to read those instructions and follow them to the letter. This is something no one here can fix for you. If it did not work then go back, scrap all the steps and do it again. If you see something you don’t understand then google it. Chances are you will see someone else struggling with the same step. There are hundreds of thousands of IOS developers and millions of apps. You really can’t be the first and only one to have a particular problem.

Please stop whining here on multiple unrelated threads and get this upload done! You really owe this to all the people who helped you here so that you could complete your app. Now get it on App Store. No giving up.

Best of luck!

I will not give up!

even if it’s the last thing I do in life!

I told you, I will not give up…

“You really owe this to all the people who helped you here so that you could complete your app”

I want to say to all those people…

THANKS! Thank you very much. – My app is waiting for review!

I did upload the app. I will put here I how I got it to work, so this may help other people as well.

A.- First I had to create a “Distribution Profile” I did not have one

B.- After that I open my app in corona

1.- I see my app in Corona simulator, and works fine…

2.- I go to the the top menu ( File - Edit - Harware – etc) click on file

3.- Go to build for iOS –

4.- Then I see a window with the app name, the version, build for Device, supported devices, code Signing Identity, save to folder

4.- the key was “Code Signing Identity”

5.- the first time I was building for “iPhone Developer” and I got this to put the app in my iPad

6.- One supervisor in Apple mention something about “code signing” so when I saw that I changed the “iPhone Developer” for the “iPhone Distribution”

7.- I build the app like that, and the building made a .zip file along with the building of the app.

8.- I went to application loader and use the .zip file that Corona made, to upload the app

9.- It works!

10.- A window pop up “Thank you” “You have successfully added your application to the App Store…”

So now I’m just waiting for apple to approve my app. I did everything in my end, thanks to all of you that help me develop this simple app. I know I was not the best person and I did not behave good at all. I want to say I’m sorry to everyone, I was very frustrated. Making an App it’s not easy at all. But you help me and got me to learn a lot.

If there is something I can do for you, please let me know.

When my app is approved, I will take the time to learn more, promote my app, and help others who want to learn to make app, and share the little bit that I know with more people.

Again, one more time. Sorry for not been so good, but now, I’m just praying to God that they will accept it.

Thanks

Victor

Congratulations!!! This is a big milestone. Best of luck with the approval.

Well done on getting it all working.

Just so you know, Apple’s review process can take anything from a few days to a few weeks., so don’t start panicking if you don’t hear anything from them immediately.

Thank you for all your best wishes. I’m here waiting and learning more. I bought another book, and I’m going to get the videos that has the little frog game, the one they put in Corona, I think that will help me a lot.
