How do i test an app or game i created on my android phone or ipad ?

Hi everyone

I hope this is not to dumb of a question but here goes. I started working on a small game with my 7 year old boy to show him how much work goes into creating a game like the ones he likes to play its all going well but now I’m wondering what happens once we are done? can I install that game on his galaxy tablet so he can show his friends and play it ? and if we can then how do I go about doing this ?
