How do you change layers of objects that are controlled by a function rather than by a local group?

I have a function that’s spawning Images, but the function is the top layer nomatter if I put it at the top or the bottom of my file.

When I load Images in to a group, the layers of the objects depend on the order I insert them.

So, I can’t insert the Images (to a group) controlled by this function outside of the function, but I can insert them in a group if I insert them inside the function.
