How getting iOS screenshots for iPhone4/5/6/6plus with current public build ?

As the current public build does not permit to successfully run a Corona app in the iOS8 Xcode6 simulator using public build, how can we get app screenshots for new apps to the Apple store ?

Is there a solution for this with no need of all the devices available and no access to daily build ?

Does any one have a solution for this ?

As a Basic dev I would expect to be able to publish app to the Apple store with no need to pay for other facilities (pro) not needed to my apps.

Thank you for any help on this

I have not published in a while - but the word “screenshot” is what apple uses - but in reality it also means “promotional image of certain dimensions” and as far as i’m aware there is no way to ascertain a device produced image from a photoshop/whatever produced image.

ToeKnee is correct. You can take your screenshots at whatever dimension you want and then modify them to what are needed by the App Store.

It should be noted that you don’t need screenshots for every device size in order to submit to the App Store.

Hi
I am I the same position. I am faking mine in Adobe illustrator.
It’s driving me mad not being able to test using public build
It’s now been two months and corona don’t seem to care

Richard, we do care and we are working very hard towards this.  Public builds are not just a packaged up daily build.  It’s a complex process that takes time.

The screenshots are one of the needs for iOS8: testing inAppPurchases, iAd and so on ask for a device unless we have available the iOS simulator.

I am with you: but you may easily agree that most of images in the store are real screenshots taken from the simulator running the app. As I am used to do for several years of publishing in the store.

The lack of iOS simulator is for sure a serious miss in Corona development: for Starter/Basic devs, specifically. And I am pretty sure Rob and other people at Corona staff are working hardly for the welcome-hopefully-soon-to-come public buid.

Are there any public release planned in which the iOS simulator integration will start to work?

We are working towards a public release.  There is a least one must-fix bug outstanding and a possible second.  Hopefully in the next day or so we will announce a “Release Candidate”, which is the build we think will become the next public release.  Then we have to test it heavily.  That can be anywhere from a few days to a week assuming we don’t hit any regression bugs that we have to address that would reset the testing.

cheers!! i need a new public release as well!!

with no bug ! take your time !
