How many levels should I release?

Hey everyone, I have a quick question. How many levels should I release for my physics-based game?

I know there isn’t one right answer and it differs for every game, but I just want to know your opinion. Each level can take anywhere between 30 seconds to 1 minute to play (most levels will be repeated a few times to get it right and figure out how to solve). I also have a point based system where the player can attempt to get 3 stars. Right now I have about 3 themes (20 levels each), so in total I have 60.

Is that enough? Or should I go up to 100 levels? I know that people expect a lot out of 99cents these days, so I want to make sure they think it’s worth it.

It cant be to much levels  but 100 levels sounds good, and you can always add more levels later  [import]uid: 119384 topic_id: 22443 reply_id: 89489[/import]

Thank you for your opinion. If anyone has any experience regarding this area please let me know  [import]uid: 82699 topic_id: 22443 reply_id: 89508[/import]

I have 60 levels in my game and users say it’s not enough [import]uid: 24641 topic_id: 22443 reply_id: 89524[/import]

I think the question isn’t how many levels but how long do you expect people to play for and is there repeatability? (in other words can users get enjoyment by playing the lower levels again?)

I’d shoot for 10-15 minutes of session time… [import]uid: 19626 topic_id: 22443 reply_id: 89539[/import]

Personal opinion is that 60 is enough; you can always add more levels as many have said above  [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 22443 reply_id: 89549[/import]
