How to bend an image programmatically?

Hi,

I’m looking for some assistance on how to bend an image. For example you have a play card and instead of just clicking for it to switch from the back to the front I would like the user to be able to use his finger(s) to bend the card to open the card a little bit at the time.

A little bit like this but more “flowy”:

What I’m looking for is something like this but no need to be able have the sides shift:

If anything can direct me to some page with some more information that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Tomas

You cannot do it in 3d sense because you do not have access to opengl. As for now the only option is to fake it somehow to get desired visual effect.

I can’t say for certain, but it may be possible to do this once Corona release the Graphics 2.0 library.

By all accounts, that shouldn’t be too far away.

Thanks for the answers. I will wait for Graphics 2.0 to come out and see if that will be able to solve my problem.

Once again, thanks to both of you!

Best regards,

Tomas

Yeah I am guessing in graphics 2.0 you can ‘pinch’ which ever corners together  you want which will create an illusion of depth/3d. You’re lucky that achieving this 3d effect should be fairly easy with cards as they are effectively 2d plains.
