How to build directly into iTunes

Hi,

Do i miss something or is there any quicker way to test an app ?

  1. Build an app in Corona
  2. Select output folder and choose name
  3. open iTunes
  4. drag and drop binary file into iTunes from the output folder
  5. remove app from the device
  6. synch new version of app with the device in iTunes
  7. test it

Easier to do via Xcode.

  1. Plug in device
  2. Build app in Corona
  3. Open Xcode and press CMD+Shift+2 to open organizer
  4. Drag app from wherever you saved it to your device in Xcode

That’s easiest for iOS I think.

Peach,

When iPad is connected to USB there is a high chance that current will be to low to charge the device. To load app via x-code device must be connected via USB, at least for me wifi does not work. Normally i connect iPad to DC adapter and do everything with it via wifi and iTunes.

I have no problems tethering my new iPad to my older mac book pro (2009) to do the Xcode method that Peach outlined.

Even if your USB isn’t powerful enough to recharge the device, you can still use it for data transmission.
