Bret - I think every one is trying to see how to make Windows 8/Windows Phone Apps without paying for Corona cards.

So, Could you please answer below questions.

  1. With every getting the Corona PRO , do we still need Coronacards license to make Windows 8/Windows Phone Apps?

  2. If Coronacards license is mandatory to make Windows 8/Windows Phone Apps, do we need to pay for it? I know there is a free trail available which shows watermark on the app that says “Trial version”. But if we need it with out any water marks , do we need to pay?

Hi @jscript12,

To clarify, WP8 building is now offered to all, as noted in the announcement details. While it is technically done via CoronaCards, it’s not one of the paid versions of CoronaCards (iOS or Android).

Hope this helps,

Brent - I just tried Coroncards with the latest latest license file to build a WP8 app. However , I am still seeing the Watermark as “Corona Cards Trial” in the background.

Am I missing something? How can I avoid that?

Hi @jscript12,

I asked the engineers and they’re aware of this. So a fix will be upcoming, and in the meantime you should be fine with using the product and license as-is.

Thanks,

Brent

Brent - Any update on this issue? Is the CoronaCards License (license.ccdata) issue fixed so that we dont see the Trial version watermark any more on WP8 apps?

Brent - I am good now. The issue is that I am trying it in an existing project that was initially using old license and when I update that project with new license , its not working.

Now , I created a new project and its working now. Thankyou.
