How to build ONLY for the new iPad?

Hi Corona Devs,
I`m here to ask your help/guidance please.

So, what I want is to know how do I make an app ONLY for the new iPad (I mean that I want to have its all assets all done regarding the new iPad resolution).

So, what do I need to get it, regading my config.lua as well as build.settings?
If you guys can help me out with this I would be glad of. :slight_smile:

PS: Even using only the new iPad dimensions/resolution for the new iPad, would the iPad 2 still run the app? (I would like to know as well).

Many thanks developers,
Cheers,
Rodrigo. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 26232 reply_id: 326232[/import]

I imagine you could put 1536x2048 in the build.settings and build an iPad-only app that would work fine (memory notwithstanding) on iPad, iPad 2, and new iPad. Same way an app configured at 640x960 works fine on the iPhone 3Gs. Corona scales the assets down as appropriate. [import]uid: 44647 topic_id: 26232 reply_id: 106367[/import]

@toby2 , Thanks! I appreciate your reply.

But am wondering what kind of “scale” should I use in my config file if I use the 1536x2048 in the build.settings (and if any scale at all)?

Also I asked because my target is to have the assets and everything else completely made regarding the new iPad resolution only! So, it would really be “re-scaled” WELL for the other iPads resolutions (considering that all about assets Ill have will be 1536x2048?) :\
PS: I`m asking about these “scales” and “re-scales” because I do not want to have any of my retina assets “blurred” or bad-scaled on the new iPad principally (I want it to look as native as I can do). :slight_smile:

Thanks for posting!

Cheers,
Rodrigo.

Guys, you all seem to have building for the new iPad sorted so would you mind posting your settings for a regular app to work n it, please?

On the ubjet though, I don’t think coona allows targeting of one version of a device because the app store doesn’t provide thy ability (and other reasons.)
