how to control ADs for kids applications ?

Hi All,

how to do control adds to show only contents that are suitable for kids. I meant if the app is designed for kids , I don’t want to show them ads such as dating etc.,

maybe using google admob or Vungle as an example

so no control :slight_smile: . I have my app also rejected by Apple since it have no parental control for Ads.  :slight_smile:

I have posted another post for that issue. I am not sure if they are related topics. let us see.

Have you seen this? Didn’t try it but google offered it up. https://developer.coronalabs.com/code/parental-gate

I also recall seeing a tweet about a 3rd party company doing something in this space working with Corona SDK.

but will this applicable for ADs or preventing kids from purchasing apps from Apple Store? I think they are two things here. One is how to do ADs for kids with parental control  and another one how to do outside links( apple store) with parental control ?

the issue with ADs that will be disabled by parents if you ask them… this is normal… so there is no use of asking.

the second one has more since of asking parents.  not sure if ads should not be used from the start for kids. ?

I am surprise there seems so little on this matter on the Corona Forums. 
Agecheq looks like the best way of ensuring COPPA compliance. Here’s their video and documentation for Corona developers.
Sadly, it seems that you’ll need the Enterprise license to implement this.

I have been using an app that allow to filter web browsing on kids phone also control on apps.
