How to convert APP to IPA

Hi all .
I just build my project with corona . Then its genarated 2 file *.app and *.zip
All I know is app is to test on devive . file *.zip is use to upload to AppStore .
But some problems appear . I don’t know about iOs more .(cause I build for android is mainly) . So how can I test my app in my iphone ,
I find in google and find some results is convert app to ipa like :

  1. Create a folder called Payload
  2. Place the .app folder inside of that
  3. Zip up the Payload folder using normal compression
  4. Then rename the file with a .ipa extension
    so It don’t work .
    Anyone help me .(I don’t want to use itunes to genareted to ipa cause iphone is not mine and my friends don’t want to lost data .)

If you are on a Mac you can do this via Xcode, not iTunes.
