How To Get App Store Url For "rate App" Feature Prior To Launch Of Game?

I’m going to be submitting a game to Apple soon and I’m building my “Rate It” button to send users directly to the App Store page for the game that allows them to leave a review.  I’ve found this post from the “Share Your Code” section (http://developer.coronalabs.com/code/rate-it-button).  But I don’t understand how to figure out what the proper URL for my game is going to be (since it is not yet published).

I’m sure this issue has been solved a bunch of times, but I couldn’t find a good answer anywhere on the forums.  Thanks for your help!

Hey, @nate2, you might want to look at these:

And some of Joshua’s posts under this thread (starting from post #16 one page 1):

Good luck!

Thanks, Naomi.  I’ve read through both of those.  I still don’t understand where I can I find out what my iOSAppId is (before it is approved).  Where do I find that?  When is it assigned by Apple?  As far as I can tell, none of these threads discuss that.

Hey, @nate2, if you haven’t already created a new app at iTunes for your project, you need to create one by:

iTunes Connect > Manage Your Apps > Add New App

As soon as you do so, you get the Apple ID for the app, and that’s the iOSAppID – and you don’t have to have your app approved for the iOSAppID (i.e., Apple ID) to exists.

You won’t be able to view the rate-your-app page until the app is released and available for sale, though.

Thank you, Naomi!  Very helpful, as always.  Much appreciated.

No problem.  And if you want to see how the screen looks like and how it pops up, you can always temporarily use an existing app’s Apple ID while testing.  Apple ID is very easy to find.  For example, my first game’s App Store url is:

https://itunes.apple.com/app/id471409331?mt=8

The Apple ID for it is 471409331.  You can plug in any Apple ID from the app store and check to see how rate-your-app routine behaves inside your app.
