I’m working on starting a kickstarter page for our project, and one thing we really want to be able to do is to give out the game on iOS and Android when they are available. What’s the best way to do this?
For Apple, it looks like we can use the “Gift this App” Feature as described here:

But it doesn’t look like google play currently support that.
We plan to continue updating the game regularly, so I don’t want to simply send out a .apk file to android users (or they’d miss out on all the updates).
Or is there a way to give them an unique code so that they can download the free version, enter the code, and get upgraded to the paid version?
