How to install on iPad when using MacInCloud.com?

Hi,

I do not have a Mac to use Corona SDK on so I looked into using MacInCloud.com which has Corona SDK installed on it. I have never built an app for iOS before so after reading the sticky messages in this forum I said to connect your device by USB. So how can I do this with the MacInCloud.com?

Thanks,

Warren

I just read the following on MacInCloud.com to resolve this. I am posting it in case anyone else needs help with this.

Test Apps on physical iOS devices.

Problem:

In order to thoroughly test an App, you need to test it on an actual iOS device such as your iPhone or iPad. The traditional way is to physically connect the device to the Mac. But it is not possible to remotely connect your device to the Mac server.

Cause:

It is not possible to connect a physical iOS device to remote Mac servers.

Solution:

Please use the free service provided by TestFlightApp.com. Visit TestFlightApp.com and sign up a free developer account.

After you signing up for a free TestFlightApp.com developer account (make sure to check the “i’m a developer” checkbox when you sign up), you will use your iOS device to log on that web site and click a button to provision, and then on the remote Mac you will also log in TestFlightApp.com to upload your App as an ipa file to push it to any iOS devices that you have provisioned through TestFlightApp website.

The way I do it is as follows, using dropbox.

My files on my PC are all in a dropbox folder.
When I launch macincloud, they are updated there (quite quickly too)
I create the app and it is deposited in another dropbox folder.
Back on my PC, the new app is available as appname.app
I open Iphone Configuration Utility
I import the app to IPCU.
Connect your device to the PC
Use IPCU to transfer app (and provisioning profile on first transfer) to the device

An alternative to the last 4 steps is to transfer via iTunes on your PC.

Warning: Using this method runs the risk that you try to install the app before all the files have transferred back from macincloud. A little patience required. [import]uid: 120570 topic_id: 33033 reply_id: 131210[/import]
