How to make the display name of an .apk& icon into Japanese?

Hello.

I was able to make the display name of the .apk& icon the Japanese name before.

I have the latest version of Corona then.

Then I can be build in the same way, but the display name of the.apk & icon has become so garbled.

I will be in Japanese display names How do I? Please help someone. Thanks in advance.

@agNedia, I’m not sure what you mean by garbled, but do you enter Japanese title when generating the apk?  I mean, when you open Corona Simulator > File > Build > Android, you get the Build for Amazon/Kindle popup window, and the first thing you enter is the Application Name.  I think you need to enter Japanese title there.  And then, if you want the apk file named differently from Japanese title, after the apk is generated, you rename the file.

That’s all I know how to (except that I’ve never tried it myself.)

@ Naomi,

Thank you for your reply. I tried also how you say I (Corona Simulator> File> Build> Android> Japanese Name). However, the method did not work. The name of the icon was garbled. After making the apk file, I tried a method to change the Japanese name, but it was useless.

Continue, please tell us who know how to resolve. Thanks in advance.

@agNedia, you know, I read your other thread of the same subject matter:

http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/38750-i-can-not-build-and-name-the-japanese/

I wonder if you are using the same computer that your boss used when he generated APK using Corona SDK.  And if not, I wonder if you can use his computer to try this.  If it works on his/her but not yours, then it might be that the Japanese you enter for the file name is not encoded in the way that’s compatible for this.

Anyway, that’s all I can think of.  Let’s hope someone else more knowledgeable can suggest a real solution for you.

Also, you might want to post your question in Japanese sub forum, where more users are likely to know your issue well:
