How to Mask a scrollView that isn't a specified size

In short… 

I am trying to mask a scrollView that is dynamically constructed based on a percentage of the platforms display size. IE, different sizes for iPhone X vs Nexus X.

Can this be done?

Can an arbitrarily sized scrollView and dynamically constructed mask be made at creation time?

Currently, an “arbitrary mask” isn’t possible, but we’re discussing internally how to approach this. Please see my response in this thread:
