well there is not much of a setup, you just give them your itunes login data and thats all

instead of giving my login data to some service like app annie (which does it’s job well, but IMHO privacy concerns are immanent) I use the open source project AppSales that crawls your apple developer account and apps for sales reports and reviews, you can also generate promo codes out of the box - the only thing it doesn’t do is to crawl the chart positions (rankings):
