My first app is a .99 cent app. Recently I “submitted a new version” of the app via itunesconnect. The update received approval tonight. However, when I tried to download the update onto my phone it wanted to charge me once again. Is this a result of using a promo code to download the original version or are my paid users being asked to pay again? Not sure what I did wrong…
Thanks!

UPDATE… I decided to go ahead and “buy” it again… itunes correctly stated that the download was free because I have a version already on my phone. That’s good but I still don’t understand why it didn’t just show up as an update in the App store. [import]uid: 16901 topic_id: 9062 reply_id: 33024[/import]
Hey txmarsh,
When you update your app it can sometimes take a few hours for it to appear updated properly. (This depends on whether you are on a computer or iDevice, as well as what country you’re in.)
Within 24 hours of the update being approved (although really I’ve never had it take more than 8) you should be able to open the App Store on your iPhone and if the app is installed already, click updates (at the bottom of the App Store app) and it will appear in the list.
Hope that helps in the future
