In one of the first steps of the Getting Started Chapter 1, it says to open the Corona Simulator and to click New Project, but I see no such thing. Am I looking in the wrong place? I’ve provided a screenshot if it helps clarify my question.
Hi @arishinsky,
Do you see the File menu for the Corona Simulator? Are you sure you opened “Corona Simulator” and not another tool within the folder?
Best regards,
Brent
@Brent Sorrentino is the corona console not the same thing? that’s all I got when I installed the SDK
Hi @arishinsky,
When you installed Corona, you should get a folder like “CoronaSDK-3068”. Inside that folder, there should be an application called “Corona Simulator”. Do you see that? If so, that’s what you should be running as the primary Corona development tool.
Brent
It appears you’re running Corona from inside of Atom. Corona actually works better if you run it directly. Look to see if there is a shortcut on your desktop and try running it independently. If not, it should be in the Start menu. Then go back to Atom, edit your code and as soon as you save it, the simulator should automatically refresh with your changes.
