I got Pirate Blast reviewed in a mag!

Pirate Blast’s been out about a month now and to be honest it needed a bit of a sales boost.

I’m a designer at a publishing house in the UK and I managed to persuade the girls working on Mizz magazine to write up a review of my app. Only went on sale yesterday and I’ve already seen a little jump in sales :smiley:

Congrats. I bought it to show my support.

Here are two suggestions:

  1. My 5 year old daughter keeps shooting straight into the water every time she tried it and gave up. Holding the phone totally flat is just not comfortable for her or for me. There really should be an option in there to hold it at a 45 degree angle or something. Games like Air Penguin offer a reset tilt control. I’m thinking you need this. Check out Crawl Space blog about how they got bad reviews until they included this.

  2. I went to your website to offer this info but you have no contact page. Avoid bad reviews, give people a chance to voice concerns instead of popping up bad reviews. Offer a way for them to contact you.

This control problem is something I’ve been hearing a lot and I’m very keen to work out a solution for it. I’ll have a good rummage through the internet today to see if I can find some code to help me out.

I am sorry your daughter couldn’t play it, once I have the update sorted I hope she will give it another go :slight_smile:

As for the website, I plan a big update to it in time for the launch of my next app. I’ll be sure to sort out a contact page.
