r.pudlowski Thanks for your answer  [import]uid: 58733 topic_id: 11439 reply_id: 41447[/import]

The $349 or $199 for just iOS or Android versions of Corona doesn’t not include your registration fees to Android ($25) or Apple ($99)

Hope this helps [import]uid: 3093 topic_id: 11439 reply_id: 41966[/import]

Hi Dominic.wood
thanks for your clarifly, that mean I must pay for corona. 349$
and IOS 99$,Android 25$ [import]uid: 58733 topic_id: 11439 reply_id: 42024[/import]

Yes.

$350 corona pro licnse
$25 android license
$100 apple license

$475 total.
Also, I forget what the minimum is on droid, but I think google won’t cut you a check unless it’s more than $250 (that’s after they take the %30, so higher).

For apple, I am not sure what the minimum is before they pay out.

Also keep in mind (yes post is getting long here) that releasing on droid means YOU have to deal with refunds. Which means you will have a lot more time spent dealing with customer service issues vs Apple which handles ALL of the transaction stuff for you (which is why so many love the app store).

So keep in mind, when you go to android there is *no* approval process. For apple it’s a while (about a week?)? and you have to be clear and concise what it does. Also be careful about your icons, and all that stuff it’s needed to be in standard format.

Ok that was just a longer answer to your question, but other stuff I think you should know about releasing to android All the not so fun stuff comes with the territory so you have to be prepared for the onslought of customers/little kids “dis appz suckz man, I want money why no u giv monies back” 99% of time it’s user error with the application, or they “Didnt see the 15 minute refund window” which is RIGHT THERE WHEN YOU PURCHASE IT!!! lol.

Again, apple not so hard. But if you release and you find a bug, you have to submite the update again and get it approved. Apple offers a testing program where I think you get like 50 seats for distribution, so make sure you test the crap out of it before you release. The only person who can release quality apps is YOU, apple will just tear you a new one if you submit crap code

Also, make sure you state exactly what the app does. If you have an app with a button and it turns red when pressed “This application allows a user to press a button which turns red” period. Don’t go saying “This allows for a rich user experience where you can press a button and it displays unicorns and sunshine” they will nail on it.

Ehh, think thats about it?

Good luck!

Wow, I haven’t had any approval issues with Apple. One app got rejected b/c the screen shots didn’t match the game (made some last second changes) But overall, I’ve had 10 apps approved with no issues. If it works, it’ll get approved.

As far as the concerns with money, Amazon store is currently free to distribute your apps (better experience than Android Market), and Corona offers nice student/faculty discounts ($50-$100) if either of those apply.

But no, the Corona SDK subscription fee is not a replacement for the iOS and Android Market fee. [import]uid: 18951 topic_id: 11439 reply_id: 42140[/import]

I bought my Corona subscription 4 days ago, and last night I finally finished my first app and uploaded it to the appstore. Yes you need to pay $99 plus the subscription cost, but you don’t need to pay $349 right now if you don’t want to, you can buy the iOS subscription for $199 first and then upgrade later on when you are ready.
