I am just curious if CoronaSDK will ever support iAD? It would be great since it pays so well compared to Ad services I have used. [import]uid: 104852 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 318542[/import]
This was asked fairly recently and Ansca (foolishly) dismissed it as a possibility. However, it has shown up often on the “Top 5 features” thread, so I’m holding out hope Ansca gets its hand out of the sand and adds this. You can help out the cause by going to the Top 5 features thread and posting for iAd there. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 71181[/import]
Honestly not being able to use iAd anymore is the one thing that made me hesitate before buying Corona. [import]uid: 104852 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 71185[/import]
Unfortunately there are politics at play preventing iAd. Mainly that Ansca is trying to force ad networks into sharing a piece of our ad revenue with them in order to be supported. Since Apple would never consider doing that… well the rest is easy to figure out.
I’ve made the point many times that iAd support is not just about ad revenue, but about Apple promoting/favoring apps that use its features over competitors (i.e. using Game Center over OpenFeint and iAd over AdMob or InMobi or whatever else).
Until Ansca supports all of the essential Apple features in CoronaSDK, we will continue to be at a huge disadvantage compared to non-CoronaSDK iOS developers. And that’s a fact. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 71188[/import]

Up to 90% fill rate. iAds seems to have the odd spike in fill while almost constantly sitting at below 30%.

Interesting… [import]uid: 104852 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 71200[/import]
Thanks Peach. 90% fill rate does interest me. Still does not fix my other issue though [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 71205[/import]
I don’t see the point of adding another ad features since corona already has ad features. I say leave the iAd in the dust and focus on developing other features instead of wasting developer’s energy. [import]uid: 151184 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 108083[/import]
I’m intrigued by why you’ve bumped a whole heap of old threads regarding iAd support - surely just one post would have sufficed? [import]uid: 33275 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 108090[/import]
A member less than 24 hours and 5 copy-paste (spammy) posts bumping old iAd threads? :-/ I’m wondering the same thing. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 18542 reply_id: 108266[/import]
