I’m seeing this only on the device (iPhone 4s), not in the Simulator. A stretched version of the app icon appears under the application launch page on startup.
Anyone else seen this? I’ve deleted the app completely and re-installed, no luck. Strangest thing.

Can you post a screenshot? I think I ran into this but I want to make sure before I start telling tales out of school.
Resolved: I had a transparent background gradient on my launch screen. I changed it to a gradient with full alpha, but still a faded icon showed, so I just changed the background to a solid color.
