This was a bug a very long time ago. Which version of Corona SDK are you using? What version of OS X?
Make sure that you’re looking at the same bundle in each case. The Applications folder is just another folder so if it’s different to the Desktop folder that indicates you have more than one copy of your app one of which has an issue (like perhaps it was built by a really old copy of Corona SDK).
After you’d made your icon file, what was its exact filename? How many different resolutions for the icon did you create?
Hi,
im using Corona SDK 2015. 2730 (2015.10.2)
OSX Version 10.11 (el Capitan)
exact FileName: Icon-osx.icns
icon_16x16.png
icon_32x32.png
icon_128x128.png
icon_256x256.png
icon_512x512.png
and for each also the @2 version: like icon_256x256@2x.png
also i looked and could not find any other Version of my App.
i did not build before with an older copy… thats the thing!
also very strange… i saw it for one time… dont know what i did.
when i deleted it and compiled it new to the desktop, again no icon.
i think once i did removed the second Icon-osx.icns in the package content (in resources) of the finall app
but second try, i could not reproduce … still no icon
and once i activated to show also hidden files on the desktop (i have a tiny tool “ShowAllFiles”)
but also after another full retry with deleting the app and recompiling to the screen.
… = no icon.
i dont know now exactly whats the prob… but somehow it was there once

now after several tests i still dont know exactly
i remove once in the package /Contents/Resources/Corona/Icon-osx.icns
and clicked apple/force-quit/relaunch Finder
than nothing changed. but after delete and recompiling the new app had an icon.
now after I dont know how many tests
it looks Everytime when i newly create my app on the desktop there is NO Icon
but when i do relaunch Finder… it appears???
Any Idea
does it has to do that there are 2 Icon-osx.icns in the package (one in /Contents/Resources and one in /Content/Resources/Corona)
? But also that makes no sense because now always (even with both .icns) after a Finder Relaunch the Icon appears.
I would be glad u can enlighten me
