Ideas for a new Corona Blog

Hi all. My name is Mike. I got into Corona fairly recently. I’m loving it. I’ve been helping a few friends out on line as well. I’ve decided to start a blog with some of what I’ve learned and some things I want to cover. I’d like some ideas for some things you guys think people will find useful or helpful. I’m also thinking about a few simple games to make along the way and would like some ideas. I know many have dome this, but I just felt like jumping in as well. Please let me know your thoughts and ideas or if you think i’m just plain crazy.

Thank you my friends, now go have some chocolate.

Hi,

Starting a corona programming blog is always a good idea and welcome.

The content however, is up to you

Best of luck and welcome to corona!

It would be helpful to edit your post and make the blog a link so people can click on it.

Rob

done. thanks for reminding me Rob. You rock!

Mike,

A couple ideas…

  • Game Dev Concepts – Pick something that is used in many games and show how to use it. For example, taps are easy, but how can you do a swipe? And know which direction the user swiped? Then on top of that, how to use that swipe info to move something on the screen?
  • API Example Library – Go through the API docs and show how different pieces can be used. While the docs do have some sample code, you can pick something that can also go with the previous idea. Or combine two different API calls that together can be really useful.

Good luck with your new blog – Corona SDK is deserving of more and more PR!
