I'm getting errors in the Widget Demo

I was trying to test out the Widget Demo under the Sample Code, but I’m getting several errors (even though I haven’t edited it at all). The errors include:

ERROR: bad argument #1 to display.newImageRect(): filename expected, but got nil.
Runtime error

and all this:

The next public release is imminent and includes a hugely updated and more feature packed widget library.
